Next Walk: Tuesday 25th March. Meet at Tasburgh church at 11am. Church Hill off Church Road, NR15 1ND. Lunch at 1pm at the Foundry Plant Centre on the Ipswich road NR15 1NS. Please put your name on the board for walk or lunch only. Or phone me 492155 to book or cancel.
Craft Afternoon Monday 14th April @ 2.30pm (Second Monday of month) at Joan’s, 74 Poringland road Stoke HX. If you would like to come along to craft and chat, please contact Joanon 493036.
Gym Sessions. At the ‘Gym Group’ (next to Asda on Hall road). Currently we have an hour longsession each Wednesday morning from about 9am.

Loddon Society are holding their Annual Show on 6 September. I have Schedule available.
The High School are having a Spring Fling on Saturday 29 March 10 – 2pm. Stalls, Food, Fun and Games for all the Family.

Federation Events
A new book club has started and will be meeting in the House on Monday 17 March 12.30 – 2pm to discuss Jacqueline Southerland’s book ‘The Coffin Club’. Which is described as a psychological thriller. First meeting free, subsequently £4 per session.
Bridge Day Wednesday 19 March 10am for a 10.30 start – 3.30pm.
£22 includes lunch of Jacket potato with choice of fillings followed by Ginger sponge or fruit salad
QuIz with tea, scones and cake 1.30pm Friday 11 April NCC Manor Park Horsford NR10 3AQ. Teams of up to 6 - members only £10pp.
Paul Martin (Flog it) will be at the Princess Theatre Hunstanton on Sunday 11 May 3pm and will select 30 items taken in by members of the Audience, to talk about. Cost £20
Gliding Days. Tibenham Airfield Friday 16 May and 29 August with fall back dates of 23 May or 12 September as flight is weather dependent. Winch launch £70 or Aero tow £144.
Cley Marshes Guided Walk Tuesday 10 June 10.30 – 1pm. £6 NWT members £8 Non members.
Take a Photo Safari around Norwich on Saturday 14 June 10am – 23.30pm starting at the House, £8. Refreshments available at the end of the walk.
Summer Garden Party at Wiveton Hall NR25 7TE. Tuesday 17 June. 2-6pm £40. Includes afternoon tea and tour of the gardens with Desmond, famed for the programme ‘Normal for Norfolk’ that featured the hall. Glass of wine £3 extra.

PORINGLAND W I MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 13TH FEBRUARY 2025 AT 2PM.
In the Chair: Zelia Dickinson, President.
The President welcomed members and visitors Brenda, our advisor and Vanessa, to the meeting. She then informed the meeting of the sad death of Mary Stancer and a minute’s silence was heldin her memory.
APOLOGIES: received from Nina Fairman; Jenny Herne, Gillian Braiden and Sue France.
NEWS OF MEMBERS: Gillian was not well and the members wished her a speedy recovery.
BIRTHDAY POSIES: were presented to Sue Cranmer; Janet and Bridget.
MINUTES: of January meeting were read, approved and signed.
MAGAZINE: distributed. Federation news was in the newsletter.
Lesley Sanders then introduced the members to Macrame, and produced samples. Lesley distributed sufficient items to enable each member to make a key decoration for themselves.
There then followed periods of concentration; fun; and, finally, all the ’masterpieces’ were displayed and a photo was taken of them for the record. VOT to Lesley was given by Susie. Lesley then had to leave and Maureen continued as Secretary.
MARCH MEETING: Michele Eager will be ‘Working with Wood’. VOT Susie. Tea hostesses Ann and a volunteer. There is an exhibition where each member brings a wooden ornament. Refreshments were taken and the raffle drawn. The Meeting was declared closed at 3.45pm.
