Poringland WI Newsletter October 2025
The Annual meeting is coming up in November, and as several committee members are standing down, we shall need nominations this month for replacements, one of whom will need to take on the duties of Secretary. This may seem a daunting task, as I have taken on things that seemed like a good idea, but are not essential or could easily be done by another member on or off the committee. Basically you will be the contact point for correspondence and liaise with President and Treasurer to ensure the smooth running of meetings.

The Smile
Smiling is infectious You catch it like the flu When someone smiled at me today I started smiling too I walked around the corner And someone saw me grin When he smiled, I realised I had passed it on to him
|
| I thought about the smile And then realised its worth A single smile like mine Could travel round the earth So if you feel a smile begin Don’t leave it undetected Start an epidemic And get the world infected! |
