10 Pin Bowling sessions Namco. Friday 22 November @10am followed by lunch. Last session of the year Fri 13th December.
Next Walk: Tuesday 19 November Meet at 11am at Tasburgh Church, off Church road, NR15 1NH. Followed by lunch at 1pm at the Foundry Garden Centre, Ipswich road Tasburgh NR15 1NS. Please let me know if you would like to join us for lunch.
The next Tea/coffee pm is on Wednesday 27 Nov 2 - 3.30pm at the Octagon Barn on the Norwich Road. Just turn up for a chat and a cuppa.

Craft Afternoon Monday 9 December @ 2.30pm (Second Monday) at Joan’s, 74 Poringland road Stoke HX. If you would like to come along to craft and chat, please contact Joan 493036.
Gym Sessions. At the ‘Gym Group’ (next to Asda on Hall road). Currently wehave an hour long session each Wednesday morning from about 9am.
If you’re new and fancy any of these, talk to Lesley or the named member and we will arrange for someone to accompany you or give you a lift.

Preloved Jigsaw and Games Sale Saturday 23 November at Our House 10 – 3pm. Donate your pre-loved jigsaws or games for someone else to love.
Festive Craft Fair at our house Saturday 30 Nov, 10-3pm. We have booked a stall, so donations of homemade craft items welcome for us to sell.
John Lewis Christmas Event. Invitation to WI members to a free exclusive event. Glass of fizz on arrival, Fashion and home talks, Beauty masterclasses, food and drink tastings etc etc. Free parking after 5pm. Thursday 5th December 5.30pm – 8pm. Pointillism Watercolour Christmas Card workshop. Saturday 7 December at Our House, 10am – 1pm or 1.30 to 4.30pm. Welcome and coffee at 9.30 or 1pm. £15 each.
New year Federation events include exclusive workshops at Theatre Royal (ballet ! Singing or drama). Beginners patchwork course; a guided tour of Kew Gardens 25th Feb £60; and International Women’s day coffee, chat and craft on 6 March. You are also asked to make an orange flower for a display at FAM.

PORINGLAND W I MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY
10TH OCTOBER 2024 AT 2PM.

The President welcomed everyone to the Meeting.

Matters Arising:
a]Craft Fairs: Helpers were needed to sell craft on 16th November at (a) am Hempnall and Brooke House date to be confirmed.
MAGAZINE AND NEWS: Magazine has been distributed. Federation ‘What’s On’ in newsletter and displayed on the notice board..
NOVEMBER ANNUAL MEETING:
It was explained to the members why our Annual Meeting is now moved back to November. Nominations are needed for committee otherwise ‘no committee, no WI’. Forms were distributed to members for this. Those current committee members not wishing to stand again were mentioned.
AOB. Outing suggestions were requested and the Centenay Salver outlined, volunteers are need to help with this.
The President then welcomed Lynton Johnson who gave a talk about his collection of Royal Commemorative China. He had brought with him many items and gave very interesting and amusing stories behind them. He was thanked by Liz.
Refreshments were then taken and the raffle was drawn. Each member who had acommemorative item in the exhibition gained 1 competition point.
Meeting closed 3.55pm.

Annual Meeting Business
New Committee – voting not necessary
Review of Byelaws. Proposal to reduce number of committee members from next year to 8, unless the number of members increases significantly. This does not affect the nominations this year.
Appointment of Auditors - Federation Independent Financial Examiner.
Presentation and Adoption of Financial Statement
President asks for questions, and then a seconder for adoption of financial statement
Committee’s Annual Report presented by Secretary
President’s address and then propose adoption of Annual Report, seconder.
New Committee names announced in alphabetical order, as there were 9 nominees willing to stand, and the maximum is 10, no vote is needed.
